Oakland Deck
The owners of this home needed to replace the decaying steps to their upper-level front door, and asked for additional space to enjoy sunshine on an otherwise shady lot. The deck was designed with careful attention to sunpaths and the surrounding roofs, and the space below the deck was concealed with a prefabricated metal trellis; when grown out, climbing plants will form a living green wall.
